The need to use the computer for testing is apparent these days. Software being developed is prone to error and bugs. You would want to achieve a product that is able to meet what was expected, the reason why it was being made in the first place. People no longer rely on other people to do the software testing and just go for the automated software testing to do that for a certain software and system that they are currently developing.
The truth is human is prone to error so if the testing is being done manually then a person would have to do the testing done and somebody else would have to recheck the check. Time, money and efforts are all wasted with all the testing and retesting done. That is why there is a need for automation even during software development. It tests not only the features of the system but the performance and the functionality too.
Other reasons why automated software testing is preferred more than manual testing is because it is unbiased and it tends to be error free. Plus the fact that you can save money compared to a manual one. Other things you can expect from it is you can get faster results so the software development gets to be done sooner and finished earlier than what you would expect if the testing was done manually. Actually it has been recommended to do a combination of manual and automated testing for the successful development of software or a system.
